Forty Day Chaliha Sahib Virt / Fast this year will start from Sunday, 24th July, 2022. All the Jhulelal devotees are invited to Puj Chaliha Sahib Jhulelal Mandir. Chaliha Virt beginning Pooja will be performed from 12 noon till 1:30pm. You can witness this on YouTube Channel by typing Chaliha Mandir. For starting the fast you can visit Puj Chaliha Sahib Jhulelal Mandir from 12 noon to 10pm and get fast thread tied to your wrist by Maharaj Swami / Brahmans. Thats how you can can start observing the fast.
Everyday Program in Puj Chaliha Sahib Jhulelal Mandir / Temple
Morning Aarti time: 6:40am 8:00am
Evening Aarti time: 8:pm to 9:00pm
Bhajan / Musical Nights program: 9:00pm to 11:00pm
Chand / Crescent Moon Day : 30-July-2022 & 28-Aug-2022
Take permission from the elders for observing the fast. Take an oath to observe the fast for 40 days.
Visit Temple / Mandir on first day and get the thread(Gaano) tied on your wrist by Maharaj Swami or from Niyani/Girl Child if you can not reach the Mandir.
Rules & Regulations for observing the Chaliha Sahib Fast
Visit Darya Shah everyday and offer the akha to water god at Mandir or offer that to Tap water or at some Lake nearby
Do not cut/trim hair, beard during the Virt / Fast.
Stay away from Grahstashram (observe celibacy)
Do not apply Kauro Tel / Mustard Oil
Wear simple clothes. Get those chosen clothes & bed sheets sprinkled with holy water at the start of Virt / Fast & use only those clothes.
Keep your Aahar(Food), Achaar(How you treat others) & Vichar(Thoughts) pure, clean & correct
Sleep only on your bed. do not sit or sleep on anyone else’s bed.
Keep yourself clean & pure.
Do not consume Non-Veg, Liquor during the fast period.
Do not consume Thoom(Garlic), Bassar(Onion), Mungan ji daal, Sajja Munga, Vangan (Brinjal) during the Virt/Fast.
Do not consume Milk or Milk Products or fried items. Kheer, Mao, Peda, Tariyal Ya Bughal Shayun.
Chilo/Sutak: If anyone has recently expired in the family, then do not observe this fast.
Chilo/Sutak: If someone close expires during the fast, then you should discontinue the observation of fast from that point & observe rituals to be done for last rites.
